About Me

Welcome to Fit4travel Columbine CC Retreats
Lisa Fountain

Lisa has traveled extensively throughout her life. As a child, she was raised in Nairobi, Kenya until she was 7 years old. Her years abroad sparked her interest in travelling and learning about other cultures.

After completing college, she served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ecuador. She lived with the Shuar, an indigenous group from the Amazonian region of Ecuador. She worked in AIDS/HIV education, family planning, sanitation, and small animal production. Upon completion of her Peace Corps assignment, Lisa continued her adventures and co-lead an outdoor school for at-risk teens in Costa Rica on the Osa Peninsula.

Lisa has backpacked in Nepal around the Annapurna Circuit, extensively explored South and Central America, and surfed in Mexico. This summer, she checked off a bucket list item and mountain biked with her partner in the Dolomites!

Since returning State-side in 2009, Lisa has dedicated herself to a career in Personal Training. She has trained both privately and in group classes. As a veteran Yoga instructor, she has a keen eye for correct alignment and clear verbal cues. She especially enjoys working with seniors on strength, mobility, and balance.

Lisa is a graduate of the University of Montana, Missoula, with a degree in Sociology.

Her favorite pastime is being active outdoors with her 9-year-old daughter and her partner. Free time means cycling, hiking, camping, trail running and surfing when she is near an ocean.
